There has been lots of hype over the past year and a half or so about the capability of shooting HD video with digital SLR cameras. The hype was justified because it allowed shallow depth of field to HD videographers without having to plunk down 10s of thousands for camera and gear. I stayed off the bandwagon until now.. and the reason? We got cine lenses on these babies now… This is exciting because cinematog lenses are a different animal from still photog lenses. And now a major cinematog lens manufacturer is producing prime canon mount lenses! Interesting times we live in. Just look at this baby! Look at the accuracy on the focus ring and prepare to be kissed by your focus puller. muah! More info here!
